With over fifteen years of experimental psychological research including methodological design and statistical analysis, Andy brings broad cognitive science and quantitative expertise to Olson Zaltman. He is currently an Associate Professor of Psychology and affiliate at the National Core for Neuroethics at the University of British Columbia.

Andy's academic research examines how implicit thoughts and feelings form and change. His work also focuses on establishing best practices for measuring implicit associations. Recently, he was selected as a Rising Star by the Association for Psychological Science for these discoveries. His findings on unconscious thought, preference and human behavior are regularly published in top peer-reviewed journals.

Andy holds a PhD and a MA in Psychology from Harvard University and a BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan. He enjoys spending time with his family in the outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
